Olga is on multiple covers of FHM. The Malaysia Version, November 2008 sees Olga in a new gorgeous shoot wearing yellow and FHM December 2008 features two collector’s covers in taunty lingerie. If anyone has scans it would be great.

Quantum of Solace may be getting bad reviews, but no one’s saying the latest Bond girl, Olga Kurylenko, doesn’t fill the screen better than racing cars and speeding aircraft.

“Most ‘Bond girls’ have something left for our imagination to discover,” said a source close to the film. “But Olga had already taken things many steps further.”

He was referring to the recent action- thriller, Hitman where Olga plays a hooker who bares it all, and before that the 2006 thriller The Serpent in which Olga played a sex slave, complete with all kinds of bondage.

In an FHM interview Kurylenko brushed off any semblance of modesty.

“Taking my bra off in a movie has never been a problem for me, as long as it makes the film more enjoyable to watch.”

Bond girl Olga Kurylenko said Quantum of Solace is full of action which the audience will enjoy.

Kurylenko enjoyed her character’s independence: “This woman is very different. She is independent from Bond. It’s her own mission in the film. She is really focussed on getting to her goal and quite strong physically.”

She was amazed by the landscapes the film took the crew to.

“There was no vegetation whatsoever. It was just dry. I more impressed by that than just green everywhere cos I’ve never really seen that in my life.”

Quantum of Solace is unique in that it’s the first film not to be directly based on an Ian Fleming novel, and also the first to be a sequel.

The new James Bond film, Quantum of Solace, got off to a big start on home turf Friday, taking $8 million (ÂŁ4.94 million) on its first day at U.K. theaters.

Variety says the big day one haul, which was powered by lots of advance ticket sales, makes Solace the biggest Friday opening of all time in the U.K.

The previous Friday best was Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, which earned $6.5 million (£4 million). Casino Royale did $4.7 million on its opening Friday but, unlike “Solace,” it had Thursday previews.

Quantum of Solace doesn’t open in North America until November 14.

For most actresses, being cast as a Bond girl has one obvious highlight – the chance to film a love scene with Daniel Craig.

But Olga Kurylenko, the Ukrainian beauty who plays Bond’s love interest in Quantum Of Solace, is not most actresses. For her, there are greater perks to the role than sleeping with 007.

Unlike some previous incarnations of the Bond girl, Kurylenko’s character is no purring, preening sex bomb content to be bedded then chucked by the debonair British spy.

Ukrainian-born actress Olga Kurylenko, known to many fans as Bond girl Camille, will appear modeling de Grisogono jewelry at various global promotion events for the 22nd James Bond movie, Quantum of Solace.

Kurylenko will make her first appearance for Quantum of Solace on October 29th. Additional promotional events will be held in Paris, Oslo, Berlin, Amsterdam, Rome, Valencia, Sydney and Tokyo.

While James Bond has been known for decades to have an affinity for Aston Martin’s DB5 (as well as other overseas exotica) a true Bond fan will remember several Fords over the years. Well, the tradition continues with the latest Bond entry, Quantum of Solace.

ure a DB5 is nice (though I’m more partial to the Vanquish from Die Another Day myself), as is a Lotus or Lancia and so on. But it’s always great to see a Ford on the big screen and especially in a Bond film. From the classic Mustang in Diamonds are Forever, to the slew of Fords in Thunderball, and even a Lincoln Mk VII in License to Kill. Then of course there’s Jinx’s custom T-Bird from Die Another Day that Ford capitalized on with a special 007 model with the same color treatments.

When the new Bond (Daniel Craig) appeared in Casino Royale back in 2006 we were treated to Ford Europe’s Mondeo, as well as the Aston Martin DB5 and DBS V12 (when Ford used to own Aston Martin). Now, with Craig’s second film, Quantum of Solace, due for release in just a few weeks (November 14th) we’ll be treated to not only another Aston Martin DBS V12 (apparently the one used in Casino Royale met a watery demise in an Italian lake during filming of Quantum Solace) but the new Ford Edge and the new Ford of Europe Ka, pictured here, which will be driven by new Bond girl Olga Kurylenko. I’ll be in line Friday the 14th to see the new movie so look forward to a “movie car review” coming soon.
