The new Bond girl is a bit different. Not only doesn’t she have a suggestive name, she doesn’t even have a last name. Camille doesn’t sleep with Bond either. Olga Kurylenko plays Camille. We know her from video game movies like Hitman and Max Payne. The French know her from modeling in Paris.

Being a Bond girl isn’t easy. Just ask Olga Kurylenko, who endured a month of 4-hour daily training sessions before starring in the latest Bond flick, “Quantum of Solace.”
“I’ve never done so much training,” Kurylenko, 28, recalls. “The first day was hard because my body was not used to it and everything hurt.”

That wasn’t all the preparation. To play Camille, a Bolivian bombshell who teams up with 007, the Ukrainian-born actress worked incessantly on her accent, recording friends from Spain and Argentina and learning the different dynamics to different accents. But something she didn’t learn was how to behave in the bedroom: Camille is the first Bond girl who doesn’t sleep with the main man.

When Ukrainian model-turned-actor Olga Kurylenko scored the coveted role of Camille, opposite Daniel Craig in the new James Bond movie Quantum of Solace, her friends wanted to know only one thing. “I couldn’t believe my friends were sending me emails asking, ‘Is he wearing that hot blue bikini?’,” she says, laughing. “I said, ‘Yes, that’s all he wears, the whole movie’.”

Kurylenko is, of course, referring to the rather snug pair of budgie-smugglers worn by Craig in his first outing as the British superspy, Casino Royale. At the time, the diminutive brunette was just one of millions of women who swooned as Craig dragged his supremely buffed bod out of the surf, but it clearly made an impression.

Ever chat with a beautiful woman and get tongue-tied?  Well, I almost did when I interviewed the newest James Bond Girl in Miami.  Her role is that of a tough cookie in Quantum of Solace, however the conversation I had with her was nice and easy.

Although she may be known in the future as one of the Bond Girls, Olga had already made a name for herself in Hollywood with some very high profile films. She played in the high-energy films Hit Man with Timothy Olyphant, and as the hot siren Natasha opposite Mark Wahlberg in Max Payne.  Those two quick hits put her in front of millions of moviegoers, but I predict she will be on top of the world when Quantum of Solace hits the screen.
Quantum of Solace finds James Bond (Daniel Craig) back in action exactly where he left off in Casino Royale.  His new mission has him moving from one country to the next in pursuit of Dominic Green, the ruthless head of an organization called Quantum.  His trek leads him to South America, where with his newest bond girl Camille (Olga), he corners the mysterious man who’s trying to get power over a small country.

Olga Kurylenko had to shed one accent and master another for the role of Camille, a mystery woman who knows how to fight dirty.

Olga Kurylenko’s career likely will get an enormous boost with the release of ”Quantum of Solace,” but the Ukrainian actress says her road to playing the mysterious Camille in the new Bond film had a rocky start.

When she arrived for her initial audition in Paris last year, Kurylenko realized the script she had been given in advance ”wasn’t the right one, not the text they were using that day.”
