Heineken is using a large swathe of its marketing budget to promote its tie-up with the next James Bond film Quantum of Solace with a global campaign featuring leading lady Olga Kurylenko.

The campaign, which will appear in 40 countries, hits media including TV, cinema and online from next month.

Heineken’s tie up with latest Bond marks the fifth time that the premium beer brand has teamed up with the popular film franchise, which was given a new lease of life and a new Bond in Daniel Craig when Casino Royale came out in 2006.

Although Heineken is keeping much of the detail under wraps, Chris Carroll, its global manager of brand experience, told Brand Republic that the campaign, particularly the TV and cinema work, would be in keeping with the tone of the film — matching James Bond’s sophistication and style to Heineken’s premium credentials.

British singer-songwriter Amy Winehouse is reported to be back working with producer Mark Ronson on the theme tune for the next James Bond movie, Quantum of Solace.

Australia’s Herald Sun news site said that the pair were collaborating on the lead track for the movie, which is released in the UK on October 31 and in the US on November 7.

New Musical Express had earlier reported on May 3 that Winehouse’s Bond theme had been pulled by producer Mark Ronson due to her erractic behaviour. Ronson said at that time: “We did work on it but we never finished it. I don’t think it will happen unless by some miracle it gets recorded and someone sings on it. I’m not sure Amy is ready to work on music yet.”

Access Hollywood sent correspondent Tim Vincent to the Quantum of Solace set in Bregenz, Austria to speak with the stars of the film, and, apparently, get the answer to one single question: do James Bond and Camille kiss?

Olga Kurylenko, the new Bond girl, struggled with a fear of heights while shooting action sequences for the spy’s new movie Quantum Of Solace.

But Daniel Craig, now an old hand at 007’s stunt routines, talked her through it.

“We did this very difficult scene on a boat, the Ukrainian-born actress said, as the first pictures from the film were released yesterday.

“I was scared. He said to me, ‘After watching it, you’re gonna be so happy you did it by yourself’. And he was right.”

Italian press have confirmed earlier MI6 reports that a scene for Quantum of Solace is to be filmed at Tower of Talamonaccio (Torre di Talamonaccio) in Tuscany.

The shoot is scheduled to start on Friday 25th April through until Sunday 27th April. Papers say that the scene will be “short, but intense”.

Filming is taking place inside the tower, with the décor reportedly changed to a black and white theme. Principal cast members Daniel Craig, Olga Kurylenko and Giancarlo Giannini will take part. 007 will be seen arriving by speedboat.

Reports in Italy suggest that the location was chosen by producer Barbara Broccoli. The high-end villa can be rented out by tourists for around $9,000 per week.
